Dr. Elias blends her knowledge of Naturopathic Medicine, conventional medicine, and mental health counseling to find answers to your mental health issues.
Mental health issues such as depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, Premenstrual disorder (PMS), Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), and others serve as significant disruptions in one’s life. Managing these symptoms while correcting underlying imbalances may include addressing inflammation, blood sugar dysregulation, gut health, hormonal imbalances, and lifestyle factors.
Dr. Alia Elias is studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling to be able to provide the most comprehensive care to her patients. She discovered, after 20 years of practicing Naturopathic Medicine, that people needed help with mind-body medicine which required more in-depth knowledge of mental health.

To heal, we have to address the root cause of our issues. Our body and mind have the innate potential to heal, they just need the proper tools and environment.
I once struggled with health issues which included Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, adrenal fatigue, and hypothyroidism. Eventually, I returned to the basics of a healthy lifestyle, mentally and physically. I optimized my hormonal health, gut health, and mental health, leaving no piece out of the puzzle. This approach was exactly what I needed to get my health back on track. Now I take this same methodology with me wherever I go to help YOU.
Everyone’s situation is unique and requires a holistic, evidence-based evaluation and treatment plan. However, I’ve found that the following aspects are always relevant and worth addressing:
1. Energy
Our energy levels depend upon the health of our adrenals and thyroid, the food we eat, and our mental outlook. When we have high energy levels, we feel like we can conquer the world!
2. Cognition and Mood
Our mood relies upon the health of our brain and microbiome. Our thoughts and beliefs play a role as well. Our thoughts have the potential to impact our mood from day to day and we have the power to change them!
3. Stress
We cannot avoid stress. Yet we can modify stress's impact on our health with its appropriate management. Through mindfulness, meditation, movement, and sleep, we have the power to reduce its negative impact greatly!
4. Gut Health
Our gut health literally affects every other part of our body including skin, immune system, and brain. The integrity of our gut lining, digestive function and elimination, and microbiome are essential areas to work well for optimum health. Gut health is a necessary aspect of integrative care!
